WAMEI is a small independent studio based in Tokyo, Japan.

Each piece is made by hand, with a focus on quiet textures, subtle forms, and the natural character of silver. Some designs are inspired by kintsugi — incorporating subtle gold details as a way of acknowledging imperfection and time.

Rather than mass production, each ring is individually shaped and finished by hand. Slight variations are part of the process, and part of what makes each piece unique.

This work is created slowly, with attention to detail and a respect for the materials.

WAMEI grew from a personal journey.

My journey didn’t begin in jewelry. I started in product design, but over time, I found myself drawn to something more hands-on and personal. After stepping away from my previous work, I began exploring materials, making objects, and learning through trial and error.

Around the same time, someone close to me started a small studio out of pure interest. Seeing that process unfold encouraged me to follow a similar path — what began as curiosity gradually became WAMEI.

Today, I continue working from my studio in Tokyo, shaping each piece slowly, by hand.
